A Modern Approach to Watercolor with Antonio Masi
November 13-15, 2020 • Time TBA
$350 Members /$385 Non Members
In this three day workshop with award-winning watercolorist Antonio Masi, the focus will be on how to approach watercolor from a contemporary point of view, powerful, emotional and as and expressive medium. Antonio applies watercolor in a thick and juicy manner, giving his subjects a startling boldness. Learn unusual perspectives, attention to details, create poetic moody works. He will demonstrate every morning explaining the materials (paints, paper, palette, brushes, etc), his set-up and how he applies color.
Although Antonio is known as the “Bridgemaster”, he will demo landscapes, seascapes, etc… The aim is for each student to discover the unique qualities of watercolor and be inspired to find their own style.
Mr. Masi teaches though demonstrations and one-on-one with each student, so he can understand the student’s level as a starting point.
Students will work from photos, their own paintings, sketches, and imagination.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from one of watercolor’s masters!
A materials list will be provided.
