“A Painter’s Paradise”

Professor Slaughter will present images that have inspired him while in
India, as well as drawings andpaintings resulting from his travels.
Original sketches and paintings will be exhibited as well.
He will discuss the metamorphic process as his smaller sketches evolve
into a larger painted composition.

Note: Parking is limited at the Quaker Meeting House;  park behind TGI
Friday’s restaurant and walk to Northern Blvd.

Sat. 10/16 Sam Goodsell Pastel Portrait Demo

Goodsell is featured in the October 2010 issue of The Pastel Journal and the April 2008 issue of American Artist MagazineHe is also included in Painting With Pastels: Easy Techniques To Master the Medium by Maggie Price and Pure Color: The Best of Pastel by Maureen Bloomfield and Ken Markel. Most recently, Goodsell’s work was included in the 2010 book, Classical Life Drawing Studio by James Lancel McEihinney and the Instructors of The Art Students League of New York. Sam studied at Manhattan’s High School of Art and Design, and later attended the Art Students League and The National Academy of Design with Harvey Dinnerstein and Irwin Greenberg.  He also studied with Nelson Shanks, Dan Gheno and Minerva Durham. 

Space is limited. Reservations will be on a first come, first served basis.
