MARC JOSLOFF

Meeting the Challenges of Public Arts Projects

Marc Josloff has had over 20 years of experience as art director on Murals, Organizational Signage, playground development and many other projects designed to lift up the community through art. In this slide lecture he will show you samples of the process and finished products, many of which became permanent fixtures in the community. Marc will also share some of the trials and tribulations that were all part of the creative process.

“While I’ve made a living on art, much of my greatest gratification comes from voluntary creative work for the community.”

Public Art- to lift up the community well-being. Can be voluntary or by way of grant, endowment, public funding or commission based on artist proposal.

Personal- to serve one’s personal creative needs or to make a living; not driven by communal goals.
