Discover the difference between drawing and painting with colored pencils in this three-day colored pencil workshop. Cynthia Knox will guide you step by step through the process of creating this stunning still life (photo reference shown) and will demonstrate her signature style of painting with this dry medium. A variety of tips and techniques will be taught that will enable each artist to render the lace, fruit, flower, wood and metallic textures seen in this composition. In addition to group and individual instruction, Cynthia will provide high-quality instructional materials that include a glossy tutorial booklet, reference photo, her popular “Cheat Sheet” and the actual surface with a light tracing of the entire still life to minimize actual drawing time and focus on color rendering. Cynthia Knox, CPSA, is a colored pencil and graphite artist who lives in New York with her family. Her artwork has received numerous awards in national and international juried exhibitions, and she has published 13 art instructional books, with a new book to be released in the Fall of 2018. Publishers include Walter Foster Publishing (Quartos), Ann Kullberg Publishing, Strathmore Artists, and Viking Woodcrafts. Cynthia teaches art workshops to individuals and large groups throughout the United States, internationally and online with Craftsy.com.
