Join this mastermind of an artist, who passionately gives to the craft for a 3 day workshop January 9-11, 2024!
Day 1. Oil Painting Head Studies or Portraits from Life (Male & Female Live models). In the first hour of the morning and the afternoon sessions I would paint a demonstration. The students would paint in the second two hours of the morning and afternoon sessions and I would critique their work individually.
Day 2. Oil Painting Nude Figure Study from Life (Female Live model). One pose all day. Demo by me for the first hour in am & pm. Then critique students’ work as on Day 1..
Day 3. Oil Painting Composition of Clothed Figure from Life (Live model). One pose all day. Same procedure as on Day 2.

Join us for a lecture, slide show an discussion with Max Ginsburg. He will share his process, his art and the masters that have influenced him along his journey.

About Max Ginsburg
Ginsburg’s paintings are in many museums and private collections including The Butler Institute of American Art, The New Britain Museum, The Washington County Museum of Fine Art, The Society of Illustrators Museum, The Art Renewal Center Collection, The Salmagundi Club, The Hospital Workers Union 1199 and other public institutions.
He exhibited his fine art from 1953 to the present. From 1980 – 2004 he painted illustrations commissioned by the major publishing companies.
Ginsburg taught art over 60 years:
1960 – 1982 at The High School of Art & Design (NYC).
1984 – 2000 at The School of Visual Arts (NYC).
2008 – Ongoing: at The Art Students League of N.Y.
He has given many PAINTING FROM LIFE WORKSHOPS around the U.S. and abroad.
2020 – Ongoing: Online Painting Classes and Workshops
In 2011 he published his BOOK “MAX GINSBURG – RETROSPECTIVE.”
