OUR MISSION
The Art Guild of Port Washington, Inc., is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to creating an inclusive and enriching home for visual arts education, exploration and exhibition. It is an organization open to all people with a common goal to advance the visual arts.
WHO WE ARE
As Nassau County’s (Long Isand’s) premier community visual arts center, we serve as a hub for local artists, students and families to broaden their creative pursuits. We are located at the Elderfields Preserve in Manhasset on the North Shore of Long Island. Our door is always open to the advancement of the visual arts for people of all ages and demographics.
The Art Guild is a non-profit visual arts center. We offer an amazing array of weekly classes and short workshops for adults, teens and children in person and online for all levels. Whatever your interest – watercolors, oils, drawing, photography – we can help you develop your artistic skills and release your creativity. Classes and workshops are small and personalized, and our instructors are all professional teachers and artists, some local and others from far corners of the world.
We host 9 Gallery shows per year, with juried competition and exhibits, where you can showcase your work. Our gallery and activities are held at the Elderfields Preserve in the oldest building in Nassau County. We would love to have you creating art with us!
For the 10th year in a row, The Art Guild has won Best Art Gallery in Nassau County. In addition, for 9 years in a row, The Art Guild has won Best Art Classes in Nassau County.
